So who is Kuri ?
I told you some demographic information earlier, but if you're down here I guess that means you'd like to know a little more (that I can't fit in my bio). Well, Kuri is the first part of my username, that as of 2018, I began using as my non-personal alias for all non-personal accounts. Due to the nature of my professions, I would prefer to not use my legal name with my hobby, but I usually share it with close mutuals! Anyway, the Kuri in Kuricos comes from the name of a Yu-Gi-Oh! card, Kuriboh. YGO is one of my very first animes that I held close in my childhood and often revisit, and Kuriboh is my favorite card.Although I've been into anime and games my entire life, I recently started cosplaying in 2018. I would have loved to earlier, but as many of you know, this is a rather expensive hobby, and I came from a pretty poor family. So, after visiting my first con in 2015 (the first in this tiny area!) I fell in love with the amount of like-individuals and the new subculture I've found and began 3 years later when I started a stable job and had a little pocket money. Louisiana isn't known to have open-minded atmospheres, so it was definetly a shock for me, and now I've been going to cons around the state to meet new friends and enjoy new experiences. Soon, I hope to enjoy cons outside of Louisiana.From here, most people ask what my favorite anime is. Since I've been watching anime (and anime-like things), I always have trouble answering that. I normally have to mention the following at least: YGO, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Fullmetal Alchemist, Naruto, Steins;Gate, Berserk (manga) . . . it goes on. I have a spreadsheet I show people, haha!The next thing people typically ask is what I like outside of anime/manga. Well, first thing is my animals. I have a cat (Ban) and dog (Minato), that I love more than the world. My secondary passion is horror. Literally anything related to horror: art, games, movies, etc. Silent Hill is my favorite video game! As for non-hobby related, my utmost passion is in the field of psychology. That's actually where I spend most of my time. It is also why I am able to cosplay so very little, haha! I'm constantly in school an between 2 professional jobs, and trying to get in a PhD program, so cosplay and related activities are sadly kept to a minimum.There's a little about me, thank you for being here!
